That was a little play on words because today's company I am featuring is:
Fast is a fintech company that operates in the e-commerce space. It provides one-click checkout and log-in for e-commerce companies. It competes with products like Shopify Pay, Amazon Pay and, Apple Pay.
This is great for a few reasons.
1. Fintech is blowing up.
There were a bunch of notable exits this year. Honey was acquired by Paypal for $5B in January and below are a few others that happened in February
Also, if you look at the investment market Fintech is becoming a more and more popular place for VCs to invest.
2. E-Commerce is blowing up as well.
This tweet from 2PM is a great example of how much e-commerce is growing now due to COVID-19.
COVID-19 sped up e-commerce growth 10 years in 8 weeks.
Fast is recently out of stealth. There isn’t much data on their revenue yet.
But one thing that stood out to me is something Domm wrote in one of his investor updates:
“Our business model is clear, and at scale, this opportunity is huge, with a $3.5 trillion eCommerce market, in addition to other sectors we can easily service like media, offline, SAAS and others, our immediately addressable market represents hundreds of billions annually.”
I am a big fan of the Fast leadership. They get it.
The CEO Domm is a master marketer. He has become a staple in tech twitter. Before Fast was even available for purchase he made people curious. Below you can see how fast he has grown his followership on twitter over the year (from 1.3K to 16K).
Domm is not the only impressive one on the Fast leadership team. His cofounder Allison Barr Allen is also very interesting. She wrote a white paper on financial transactions prior to joining or even knowing fast existed. This happened while she was the Head of Global Product Operations at Uber.
Lastly, is Mathew Kobach. Mathew was the Digital and Social Media Manager at NYSE, like Domm he is very impressive on Twitter. He’s grown his following significantly over the last year as well, from ~5K to over 60k.
To me this would be the perfect place to work in marketing. They are going to do some awesome work.
They are hiring for Design, Engineering, Product, Sales and Security.
Whatever you do in terms of trying to get a job there, you definitely want to be creative.
I love what this guy did
Below is the contact information for the team for you to reach out:

One other tip, directly from the CEO:
We only hire candidates who follow up in the day or two after an interview professing their desire to join the company. This keeps our early team highly engaged in the mission, continuing to drive us forward despite the typical startup ambiguity and change in roles, team etc…
