Ok, so I have spoken about this company before but I think it’s time for an update.
When I first covered them it was February 28th and they had under 20 employees.
Today it is August 19th, they have 34 and are hiring another 11.
Who am I talking about?

Description:
Why I like this company:
1. Industry
Remote work is a super fast-growing trend. So many companies are beginning to offer this as an option for their employees, talent is everywhere and COVID-19 has made remote work a requirement not just an option.
This has caused a huge shift in the world and with that challenges. Compliance and payments around hiring remote workers is one example. They are messy and bear substantial risks. That's what Deel is helping with and their timing could not be better. Below is a graph of the search history for “remote work” over the last 5 years. As you can see we have reached a new level of interest.
2. The Investors
Y Combinator - Invested in successful companies like Twitch, AirBnB, Gitlab, Stripe and more!
Elad Gil - Invested in great companies like Notion, Stripe, Optimizely and more!
Weekend fund - This fund is new and doesn’t have many investments but it was founded by the creator of ProductHunt and is a fast riser in the space.
Daniel Gross - Is another newish name to VC but he has a LOT of wins in such a short period of time. He is an investor in companies like Notion, Jump Bikes, Cruise, Coinbase and so much more!
3. Early growth signs
Their traffic is growing month over month. 459k per month and up 30% this month.
They’re making revenue. That is the extent of my knowledge on that one. That’s also what comes with going to an early Series A stage company. You have to believe in the mission and as someone who has worked with contractors and remote workers, I think this is going to be very big!
They have a podcast. So it seems the team understands marketing at least a little bit. This is something that is always important to me.
They are currently hiring for positions in Sales, Support, Legal, Engineering, Marketing and Operations.
I would recommend reaching out directly. Below is the CEO’s contact information:

Update to the Rockets:
Chris Herd is the CEO of FirstbaseHQ. We featured him on Rocketship Jobs a few months ago. I believe in this company and he is still hiring. Here is a link to the old post.
I have featured Webflow on this newsletter probably more than any other company. There's a good chance it will be the biggest company of them all (although Rippling and Pipe have a pretty good chance as well). Either way, they just opened up a few new positions.
Speaking of Rippling, this is an exchange between the Rippling CEO, Parker Conrad, and someone on Twitter. As you see Parker has stated he has embraced remote workers but if you look at the Rippling careers page that is barely noticeable. I will tell you again, EVERY JOB IS REMOTE NOW for the right person. If the job is not located where you are, you should still apply, the careers page may be slow to adjust to the internal conversations.
That's it for now, talk to you next week.
